Style
This stool features hand carved texture and a shaped seat. The stool is designed by Barry Todd of studio Kinnard and has a uniquely shaped mortise and tenon connecting the legs to the seat. The unusual shape of the tenon has been designed especially for this stool and has dark Ash wedges. This shape contrasts with the lines of the hand-carved seat to give the stool a unique character while the traditional wedged mortise and tenon technique ensures a strong construction. There are no straight lines in the design, all edges have been given soft curves including the legs which emphasize the shape and comfort of the stool making it ideal for everyday use.

Care Instructions

We strive to design and develop the best possible furniture for you. To make sure that your furniture continues to serve you well, we recommend taking proper care of them by following the below tips and tricks:

  1. Wood is a living material and wood surfaces will colour over time. How much and how fast the surface will colour depends on the exposure to light. Avoid placing your furniture in direct sun light.
  2. Wood surfaces, including oiled surfaces, do not stand moisture, heat or alcohol. Spills must be wiped up immediately
  3. We recommend not covering the surfaces partly as this can cause colour differences across the surface
  4. Never place furniture right up against radiators or other heating devices
  5. Always start with the most gentle cleaning product
  6. Never use sanding products like scouring powder, metal polishes or cleaners that contain ammonia
  7. Indoor furniture should not be used outside
  8. If you experience any issue with your furniture, you are always welcome to reach out to our customer care

For everyday cleaning and specific stain removal, please follow the below instructions.

Cleaning

For day-to-day cleaning, wipe the furniture with a clean cloth. For thorough cleaning, first wipe off loose dust/dirt. Wring out a clean cloth with a solution of water and a universal cleaning detergent. Wash off with clean water. To avoid stripes/blotches, you should finally wipe the furniture with a clean, dry cloth until it is completely dry.

Stain Removal

Stains and dirt can be removed from the furniture with a clean cloth wrung in a cleaning solution: hot water and a universal cleaning detergent or hot water with 10% vinegar. Finally, wipe off with a clean, dry cloth.
